At Pomfrett Cottage Nursery in Sunbury, we provide flexible options for nursery attendance and meals so you can organise the care that is most appropriate for you and your child. Here you'll also find full details of our fees and uniform.

We appreciate that every family has a variety of childcare requirements. We therefore have a number of different nursery attendance options in place so you can choose whatever suits you and your child best.


Funded Hours: FEET, Universal 3+4yr olds:

Option A:

Monday & Tuesday        09:00 - 15:00

Wednesday                     09:00 - 12:00

Option B:

Wednesday                     12:00 - 15:00

Thursday & Friday          09:00 - 15:00


30 Hour Funded Places are available


Fees are payable outside of funded hours:

Early Entry Breakfast Club: Mon - Fri from 08:30am (fee payable)


Lunch - Current arrangements, parents to bring your child's own lunch box


Full Fee Availability: Children aged 2 years old:

09:00 - 12:00 minimum 2 mornings per week

12:00 - 15:00 minimum 2 afternoons per week

Full days can also be arranged

Autumn Term 2023

Monday 4th September - Friday 15th December

Half Term Closure: Mon 23 Oct to Fri 27 Oct


Spring Term 2024

Monday 8th January - Thursday 28th March

Half Term Closure: Mon 12th Feb - Fri 16th Fen

Easter Holidays Closure: Mon 1st Apr - Frid 14th Apr


Summer Term 2024

Monday 15th April - Friday 19th July

Half Term Closure: Mon 27th May - Fri 30th May


We are closed on all UK Bank Holiday dates.


Q. Is Pomfrett Cottage Nursery open all year round? 

A. The nursery is currently open during term time only.


Q. Does Pomfrett Cottage Nursery accept children who still wear nappies? 

A. We do accept children who wear nappies.

everything you need to know about our uniform and fees

To help the children come together, we have a nursery uniform. Placing an order is quick and easy - simply choose the items of clothing you need, pay with a credit or debit card, and the uniform will be delivered to your address. You can place an order for   your child's uniform here.


Nursery Fees:


Fees from September 2024

Amount due for a child aged 2 years: £7.50 per hour

Amount due for a child aged 3 + 4years: £6.95 per hour

Breakfast Club: £3.40 per morning


Early Years Free Entitlement (EYFE)

The term after your child's 3rd birthday, he/she will be entitled to the Universal Early Years Free Entitlement (EYFE) of up to 15 hours per week. These hours are allocated by choosing option A or B for your child's attendance. Fees are charged at £6.95 per hour outside of hours covered by the Universal EYFE. You can check to see if you are   eligible to claim the extended EYFE here.


Pomfrett Cottage Nursery will accept the Extended +15hrs EYFE on a first come first served basis due to high demand.


Free Early Education for Two Year Olds (FEET)

FEET is a Government initiative that funds 15 hours of early years education for 2 year olds who would benefit most from early access to childcare. You can check online to see if your child is eligible on   Surrey County Council's website.


Fees are due in full at the beginning of each half term. Childcare vouchers are accepted - fees are due in full as per invoice when using childcare vouchers and government tax free accounts.


Full fees are payable for any session missed due to illness, holiday, or other reasons. One month's written notice of leaving is required. Regrettably, no fees can be reimbursed.

A. Pomfrett Cottage Nursery does accept children entitled to FEET funding - FEET is a government initiative that funds 15 hours of early education for 2yr olds who would benefit most from early access to childcare. You can   check online   to see if your child is eligible. 


Q. Do Pomfrett Cottage Nursery accept childcare vouchers? 

A. Childcare vouchers are accepted, full fee's are due in full as per invoice when using childcare vouchers. 


Q. Do Pomfrett Cottage Nursery charge for missed sessions, sickness or holiday? 

A. Full fees are payable for any session missed due to illness, holiday or other. One month's written notice if leaving is required. Regrettably no fees can be reimbursed.

A. Fees are due in full at the beginning of each half term
